Plot Overview

J.R. travels to Hawaii at the urgent request of an old friend, only to be arrested when he's found standing over a dead body. Barnaby and Betty arrive to help him, only to discover that the police lieutenant in charge of the case is an old nemesis of Barnaby's.

While J.R. is imprisoned in one of Hawaii's most vicious facilities, Barnaby continues digging and discovers that J.R's friend's brother is involved in a marijuana growing operation.
