Trivia

The Show

  • As of this serial, the show has undergone some significant changes in appearance. In addition to a new logo, there is a new arrangement of the theme music, accompanying a star field over the title sequence and closing credits.

Behind the Scenes

  • This story also debuts a new TARDIS exterior prop, now made of fibreglass rather than of wood.
  • There was tension due to the status of Baker and Ward's relationship. They had decided to end their relationship after shooting ended for the previous season, but Baker yearned to rekindle their affair whereas Ward wished to leave things as is. It got to the point where both refused to speak to one another, resulting in a rather chilly mood on set.
