The Said Ali was a cell run by Said Ali, leader of the "Second Wave" terrorist group.

Objectives

The cell's primary objective was to detonate a 20 kiloton nuclear warhead over downtown Los Angeles.

The secondary objective was to ensure Marie Warner's cover remained intact so she could assist in future operations.

Execution

Marie Warner funneled money to Said Ali's cell to fund their operations.

The main part of the bomb was assembled in a warehouse in Bakersfield, and it was taken by truck to Norton Airfield. One terrorist was killed in a shootout with police in the Bakersfield warehouse. Infighting amoung members killed two of the truck drivers. When Kate Warner and a detective were detected attampting to access Warner Investments financial records, Said Ali had two thugs kidnap them and brought to a hosue for interrogation. He was satisfied they hadn't discovered or revealed Marie Warner's involvement and ordered them both killed.

Said Ali left to pray. The detective taken with Kate was killed, but Kate Warner was rescued by CTU and Jack Bauer before she could be killed. Her captor commited suicide. Marie Warner killed Reza Naiier and two CTU agents accompanying him at Warner Enterprises when he discovered that the only one who had access to his computer at the time of the transactions was Marie.

Kate Warner identified Said Ali at a mosque, but Said Ali recognized her and tried to fake his own death. Marie's cover was blown when CTU discovered the dead agents and saw that she was the only one to leave the building within the hour.

Said Ali ordered Marie Warner to retrieve the detonatoir from Marko's workpalce and take it to Norton Airfield. He was captured in the basement of the mosque by Jack Bauer. Jack Bauer broke Said Ali by threatening to have his sons executed on camera. Said Ali told Jack the bomb was at Norton Airfield.

Marie Warner took the detonator to the airport, but spotted the police on the way. A decoy was hastily prepared - the bomb was taken by truck elsewhere, the decoy was put on a plane. Marie Warner and the plane's pilot were captured. Marie tried to convince Jack Bauer that the bomb had left the airfield, but Jack didn't believe her. One terrorist was killed defending the truck with the bomb.

Technicians determined that the bomb couldn't be safely disarmed within the remaining time, so the bomb was flown out of Los Angeles where it was safely allowed to detonate in an area where the consequences would be minor.
