Plot Overview
Caitlin and Jen sing along to a romantic ballad sung by their favorite boy band, DawgToy, as they listen to Wyatt's CD player while the gang walks along in the mall. Wyatt, Jonesy, Jude and Nikki make negative comments about both the band and its songs as they arrive at the escalators, where Caitlin accidentally knocks Pokey the Panda, a children's mascot at the mall, down an escalator to the main floor while dancing to another DawgToy song. While Jonesy laughs at the mascot's plight and Caitlin frets over what she did, Wyatt sees the opportunity rising out of the misfortune and introduces Jonesy as the new Pokey.
While shopping and chatting with Nikki at the Khaki Barn, Caitlin gets a phone call from Jen, who excitedly tells her friend that DawgToy is coming to The Galleria for a CD release party and to hold auditions to cast a lucky fan in a video they will be shooting at the mall during their performance. Caitlin asks Nikki to come with her for the auditions, but Nikki, who hates boy bands, refuses. Jen later arrives at the Big Squeeze and shows Caitlin a poster for the band, which both squeal excitedly over while Nikki zings a sarcastic barb to the two. Jonesy then shows up in his Pokey costume and complains about his new job, while Caitlin demonstrates some dance moves she plans to use for her audition, which Nikki, Jonesy and Wyatt give a bad review to. When Cait and Jen become excited over the possibility of meeting DawgToy and shriek delightedly again, Nikki mocks them and she gets complimented by Wyatt, who is also not a fan of the group, on her good taste in music. Caitlin and Jen then rush over and drag Nikki with them to the auditions while the guys remain behind, refusing to join them, and Nikki curses her luck and tells Jonesy, Jude and Wyatt that they owe her.
At the mall's event stage for the auditions, Jen, Serena and Charmaine are all doing their dance moves together while Nikki and Caitlin root Jen on. As Jen is picked from her group, Nikki sneezes and loses her nose ring, which ricochets around the stage before bouncing off of Jen's butt and landing on the stage floor. Nikki picks the nose ring up when DawgToy's manager, who is supervising the auditions, notices her and says that she has the look the group is looking for, but when Jen mentions that Nikki can't dance, Nikki takes offence and decides to show the manager what she can do. After delivering a stellar audition, Nikki is picked as the new DawgToy video girl and the audience cheers while an indignant Jen, who thought she had the audition won, fumes.
Jonesy, Jude and Wyatt lounge in the storage area at Spin This and, without the girls around, have a few laughs as Jonesy and Jude engage in a farting contest. When Jonesy claims that Wyatt is unable to loosen up, even when it's just the guys around, Wyatt sets out to prove Jonesy wrong by borrowing his Pokey costume and interrupting the "kissing couple" by shoving the guy aside and kissing the girl while wearing the costume as Jonesy, Jude and several onlookers cheer.
Jen, angry over losing the DawgToy Girl audition to Nikki, complains to anyone of her friends who will listen, accusing Nikki of double-crossing her and taking "her" spot despite hating boy bands, when Nikki overhears and begins arguing with Jen, each accusing the other of not being supportive and Jen adding that Nikki "broke a rule" about friends helping each other. When Caitlin tells Jen that she doesn't understand about the rule, Jen explains it to her using shopping metaphors, and the seriousness of the situation then dawns on Caitlin.
Wyatt finds Jonesy minding the Stick It for Jude while Jude, wearing the Pokey costume, prepares to do a skateboard stunt down the escalator while some children watch, but the stunt goes awry and Jude lands in the fountain pool. Jonesy later gets back the costume and does some DJing at Spin This when Jude comes running in, advising Jonesy that Ron the Rent-a-cop is looking for Pokey because of the earlier escalator skateboard stunt, forcing Jonesy to go on the run while still in costume, while Wyatt fakes a choking episode to distract Ron and allow Jonesy to make his getaway.
Caitlin and Jen watch while Nikki practices her dance moves on stage for the DawgToy video, and while Caitlin is impressed, Jen, who gets mad over Nikki's nonchalant attitude toward meeting the band, resolves to go talk to her. Jen, with Caitlin accompanying her, walks into the Khaki Barn and confronts Nikki about the video, but Nikki prepares to leave for the DawgToy CD party when her backpack rips open and an entire collection of DawgToy merchandise spills to the floor, exposing Nikki as a closet DawgToy fan, much to her embarassment and Jen and Caitlin's delight. Nikki confesses her secret crush on the band to her friends, then invites Jen and Caitlin to the DawgToy show and to join her backstage afterward to meet the group as all three squeal gleefully.
After the show, Caitlin gets to meet her favorite DawgToy member, John, while Jen and a nervous Nikki both meet fellow bandmate Jason, who autographs Nikki's souvenir Jason doll for her, and the girls bond over the moment before Nikki warns Caitlin and Jen not to say anything about her DawgToy crush to anyone. The guys drop by and Wyatt notices that some clips from the auditions made it onto the video, including Caitlin's embarassing audition where she fell off the stage. An embarassed Caitlin asks Jonesy about borrowing his Pokey costume for the next day, but Jonesy mentions that he was fired from his mascot job for being "a bad role model for kids". Jonesy then notices Nikki hiding something behind her back, and Wyatt takes it and discovers the autographed Jason doll, thereby outing Nikki's DawgToy crush to the guys. An embarassed Nikki attempts to explain as she tries to snatch the doll back from Wyatt.

Quotes
- Jonesy: It's nice to be kickin' it chick-free, lettin' it all hang out.
Jude: I'm so glad to hear you say that, bro! (lets out a fart, making Wyatt laugh) Oh, yeah! I've been holding that one in all morning!
Wyatt (laughing): Oh, gross!
Jonesy: Dude, nice one! (all three laugh, then Jonesy farts and the guys laugh more) At least we don't have to worry about a third fart from Wyatt.
Wyatt: What's that supposed to mean?
Jonesy: Man, your butt's so uptight, you won't even use the food court washroom! I don't think we'll be hearing from it today.
Jude: No worries, allow me! (gets up and farts again, and Wyatt breaks out laughing)
Jonesy: Hey, no proxy farting allowed! Every man...(farts) for himself! (farts again, and the guys laugh themselves silly)
- Nikki (stung by comments she heard Jen make): Hey Wyatt, care to pull that knife out?
Jen: Well, you weren't even a DawgToy fan, you hate boy bands! This is my one and only chance to meet Jason!
Nikki: Hello?! I didn't try to get chosen! You were the one who dragged me to that stupid audition, remember?
Jen: Wyatt, don't you think Nikki's being a bad friend?
Wyatt: Oh no, leave me out of this! I can't believe you two would fight over DawgToy—they suck!
Caitlin & Jen (both indignant): Hey!
Caitlin (to the DawgToy poster): Don't listen to him John, he's just jealous!
- Nikki (embarassed, after her DawgToy crush is exposed): I was too embarassed, okay? I...I tried to stop listening to their CDs, but...I can't help it! When Jason tilts his head to the side and...and bats his eyelashes, I just...
Caitlin & Jen (blissfully): Melt? (both sigh contentedly)
Nikki (sighs): So now you know my deepest and darkest secret...(jokingly) and now, I have to kill you.
