Behind the Scenes
Allusions and References
When Cuthbert Carmichael visits Stu to hire him for the fake robbery, which Stu was supposed to have swept in and thwarted, he mentions that one of the private eye's functions is to prevent crime 'like they do on that show Checkmate'. While the series has made references to other series in the past, this one is unusual for three reasons: one, it's not an ABC series (Checkmate ran on CBS). Two, it's not a Warner Bros. production (Revue Studios was the producer). Three, Checkmate had been off the air for a few months by the time this episode aired.
