Season Two of Alias Smith and Jones premiered on September 16, 1971.
Midway through the season, series star Pete Duel (Smith) committed suicide. His remaining footage was used (sometimes dubbed by voice actor Paul Frees), and he was then replaced by actor Roger Davis for the remainder of the season and the duration of the series.
