Alice in Wonderland, or: What's a Nice Kid Like You Doing in a Place Like This? is an animated musical fantasy special that aired on ABC.
Unlike the Disney feature from earlier, the protagonist of this version of the Lewis Carroll story is a throroughly modern little girl who lands in Wonderland after falling into her TV set. Some Carroll figures are seen along with newly created characters like Hedda Hatter (a distaff version of the Mad Hatter), Humphrey Dumpty, and a caterpillar with the forms of Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble. The special was written by comedian Bill Dana, who voices the White Knight (him in caricature).
