Plot Overview

Joey ruins the mood of the party by bringing up Janet's name, and Dixie leaves the room shaken to hear that name; Janet, talking to herself in the mirror which shows how she once appeared, still has hope of getting back her daughter Amanda from Trevor; Laurel is nearly scared to death when Trevor drops by unexpectedly; Opal, Myrtle, Verla, Langley, and Phoebe realize that they'll be stuck at the store all night because of the storm; Tad goes to comfort Dixie and apologize for Joey's actions, and she brings up a name from the past that makes Tad remember a horrible period in his life; Laurel convinces Trevor to stay for awhile and keep her company; Ruth recalls the first time the house was almost destroyed by an unnatural disaster; Trevor tells Laurel the plan to trap Janet and send her back to prison forever; while Trevor is still at Laurel's house, Janet goes to see Amanda, who is being cared for by a babysitter; Harold, Trevor's trusty dog, sees Janet in the window and goes outside to chase after her; Harold manages to bring back a glove that Janet must have dropped; the guests at the Martin household talk about the good times instead of the bad ones; Rex, Verla's fiance, comes to the store to check on Verla and everybody is captivated by his looks, especially Opal; the snow has stopped falling and the guests get ready to leave the house-warming party, but not before a very fond thank you from Ruth.
