Illyria is the ancient goddess that kills Fred and uses her body as a shell for manifesting a human form. She has innate supernatural powers that allow her to have superstrength and the ability to bend time at will. Even though she is capable of murder, she spends much of her time trying to contemplate the human condition and what motivates them to commit selfless acts. She feels a strong attachment to Wesley, who watches over her as if she is still Fred. Illyria is portrayed by Amy Acker.
