Basic Information
Fong is a general in the Earth Kingdom army and is currently an active member in the war against the invading Fire Nation. When tales of the Avatar’s single-handed destruction of an entire Fire Nation Navy fleet reach him, he become obsessed with using Aang to make a single, war-ending strike against the Fire Nation. After convincing Aang to let him help Aang reach the Avatar State voluntarily, his multiple attempts fail until he causes Aang to think Katara has been injured. Even after Aang triggers the Avatar State and destroys the Earth Kingdom base at which they are staying, Fong cannot abandon the idea of using Aang as a weapon. He’s finally stopped when Sokka knocks him out and his men realize their commander is willing to risk them all to get what he wants.
