Battlestar Galactica (2003)/Cylon Centurion

Cylons, or "toasters" as they are more commonly referred to by the Colonials, come in several known forms in varying degrees of sentience and individuality. This model, the Cylon Centurion, seems to be a semi-mindless killing machine, armed with deadly sharp taloned fingers and a projectile weapon integrated into one arm. Centurions appear to be subordinate to the more intelligent and autonomous human-form infiltrator Cylons.

The Cylon Centurion is the standard Cylon shock troop. Human-form Cylons have been seen to lead units of Centurions, and just a few Centurions were able to wreak havoc on the Battlestar Galactica, nearly managing to destroy the ship.

Obsolete Centurion

This model of Centurion is obsolete, but Six mentions that they are still in service with the Cylons and that "they have their uses". This specific model, large, bulky, unwieldy, and plated in gleaming silver, is presumably where the derogatory nickname "toaster" originated.
