Prometheus is a freighter in the Colonial Fleet. It became the hub of the Colonial black market, known as the place where one could acquire all sorts of illicit goods and services ranging from relatively innocuous items like medication, alcohol and fresh fruits all the way up to, before the death of black market boss Phelan, a highly illegal child prostitution ring. The freighter has been described as "off the grid", referring to the sheer amount of lawlessness and illicit activity taking place aboard the ship.
