Blue Gender is a science fiction anime series by Ryousuke Takahashi set in the distant future. A gas station employee named Yuji Kaido is put into cryogenic stasis after he's diagnosed with an incurable terminal disease. But when he's unfrozen in the future, he finds Earth overrun with insectoid aliens called "The Blue."
The series was licensed by FUNimation and broadcast in the United States on Adult Swim in 2003. However, the series was heavily edited in order to remove all graphic violence and sexual content.
