Bullseye is a game show that aired in syndication. Jim Lange was the host.
Two contestants used plungers to stop three spinning windows in a triangular pattern. The first two showed categories and a money amount from $50 to $200 (each window with four different categories) and the third was the number of questions required to be answered. The contestant stopping the windows chose a category and had to complete the contract of answers with each correct answer adding that much to his/her pot. An incorrect answer allows the opponent to answer and complete the contract. If a Bullseye appears in the third window, the contestant may answer as many questions as he/she desired.
The first contestant to $1000 wins the game and goes to the Bonus Island. The contestant takes three spins of the window and each spin awards whatever money shows. Three successful spins wins the accumulated money. When a Bullseye appears, the window is automatically frozen. Getting three Bullseyes wins $10,000. If a lightning bolt shows up, the money is forfeited and the bonus round is over.
A celebrity edition later surfaced. A prototype of Bullseye was piloted in 1975 under the name Double Cross. Jack Barry created and hosted that pilot which went unsold.
