Bumper Stumpers is a Canadian game show that aired in first-run syndication.
Taped at the studios of Global Television Network flagship station CIII-TV in Toronto, two teams of two players per team competed to solve the phrase spelled out as personalized vanity license plates. It starts with a jump-in, displaying two plates, e.g.: AYYGY and 1STM8, with the clue being "Smart-aleck". Whoever rings in and identifies the correct plate (the first in this case, translating as "A wise guy") gets a chance to solve a Super Stumper, a seven-space plate whose spaces are revealed one at a time after a correct jump-in.
The team that solved the Super Stumper won $500 and vied for $100 a pop in solving up to seven plates in 30 seconds. The team now tries to double the money by uncovering money behind the letters in the word "Stumper". Five letters contained money, the other two concealed "Stop" signs which automatically ended the bonus game.
