Plot Overview
Toy manufacturer Granny Grabber--who happens to be a man--finds business to be booming...sky-high, as a matter of fact. He's blown into pieces by a bomb hidden in his cigarette lighter, which just happens to be a toy soldier. Burke encounters a number of oddballs--a ditzy astrophysicist, who was helping him make space toys; the head of a school for wayward boys, who also gave Granny ideas for toys; a General who wanted Grabber to make toys that were dangerous, if not downright illegal; a spy who stole plans for new toys; and Granny's amorous secretary, who inherited the company when he passed. Everyone mentions his new toy, which would net him millions even though he didn't have to manufacture it, and Amos thinks that the 'toy' just may be the motive for murder.
