Plot Overview
Getraer is seriously injured when his bike skids on the freeway, due to an oil slick caused by a gas tanker. Jon and Ponch pursue the truckers in the tanker, a couple of crooks who've been stealing gas from legitimate gas stations and selling the stolen gas to shady station operators. Ponch also gets roped into refereeing a field hockey game between the Central and West CHP kids' teams and also arranges for a game between the cops from both precincts.
