Plot Overview

The landing of the NASA space shuttle has everyone at the precinct glued to the TV. The pursuit of a dognapper leads Ponch and Bobby to a witness, a space-obsessed boy who claims to have overheard the plotting of a dog theft. Ponch bonds with the boy, who's suffering from a degenerative liver disease and hasn't got long to live. When the boy runs away to meet some of his C.B.'er friends and to see the shuttle landing in person, it becomes imperative that the officers find him...a donor liver has been found, but there's a short time frame to perform the transplant.
