Plot Overview

Officer Jon Baker is partnered with Frank 'Ponch' Poncherello, who's nearing the end of his six-month probation. Ponch worries about whether he'll make it past probation and into the good graces of exasperated Sgt. Joe Getraer, who's had it with the young hot-shot and his accident-prone nature, which has resulted in many bikes being damaged. Their main case is to find out how a high-volume team of sports car thieves is managing to steal so many cars so quickly, but they also aid a victim in a car accident and deal with a trucker and his helper, who thinks it's OK to get drunk in a moving vehicle.
