Plot Overview
A contract is placed on three men about to testify against mobster Charlie Morell. Two of the men--an undercover agent for the District Attorney and a deputy--are killed, and the third is Sheriff Sam Cade. What Cade doesn't realize is that the hit man is his old and dear friend, Courtney Vernon, a beloved figure in Madrid who has returned home.
