Plot Overview

Rancid Rabbit, the mayor of Nearburg shows the giant cheeseburger. CatDog arrived at the event to see what's going on. All of a sudden, the machine and burger goes out of control while Denis M. Hannigan plays dramatic string music. Everybody screams and runs away from the crisis. But Rancid was about to get hit! Dog then flies in the air taking a bite out the burger so Rancid won't get squished. Rancid finds out that Dogs a hero and gives Dog a hero medal. Back home, Winslow finds out that Dog's more than a hero, he's a superhero. Cat then suggested he should wear a cape too! Dog agrees. The next day, he becomes Dog the Mighty! He goes a little too far! First, Dog tries to save a bird, then he tried to rescue a old lady, last he thought the bank was robbed! Everybody then laughs at him because he's a super 0 (zero) Suddenly a news flash is on the tv that the workers of the Nearburg bubble gum plant are trapped deep in the goo! That's an actual danger! Cat then convinces Dog that Nearburg needs him! Cat then goes back to CatBoy! Dog the Mighty then smells trouble! The news reporter (voiced by Tom Kenny) gets worried and thinks that it's over until Dog the Mighty shows up to save the workers. Yhey saved the workers just in time! Dog the Mighty has saved the day! Rancid then comes by giving Dog more medals.

• Andy Rheingold who wrote this episode would later do the writing for Kids Next Door.
• Dog the Mighty later would return in Dog the Not So Mighty!
• The newsman who is voiced by Tom Kenny sounds just like the narrator from The Powerpuff Girls
