Plot Overview
A Russian mail-order bride is found dead in her garage with the car running, which would normally point to suicide, but she suffered a skull fracture sometime before that, making it a murder case. Her husband, a college professor, is arrested for the crime, and Annabeth discovers that the man has been leading a very sordid life outside of the marriage. Meanwhile, Maureen begins to represent the prosecution in the appeal trial of Jack's killer, and Conlon, upon noticing how out of breath Ray appeared during a lawyers' basketball game, orders his investigator to return to New York to see a heart specialist.
