Plot Overview
A six-year-old boy goes missing after a wild party thrown by his parents. When he's found dead in the trunk of a neighbor's car the next morning, Annabeth prosecutes the neighbor on kidnapping and murder charges, and given the fact that she's on various psychiatric medications, the charges certainly seem viable. Still, Annabeth can't get past the fact that the boy's father has a record for drug offenses and assault, as well as the additional fact that he hasn't been straightforward about his relationship to the defendant.
