Dog Day Afternoon is the fifteenth episode of the fourth season of Code Lyoko, and the eightieth episode overall.

Plot Overview

After Jeremie disapproves Odd's idea of taking Kiwi to Lyoko, Odd get's mad at him, and brings Kiwi to the Scanner Room, and goes to Lyoko 'with' his "little diggety-dog" Kiwi. Odd tells Aelita that he's got a big suprise for her. Then, Aelita gets tired of waiting, and heads to the Tower that's running William's clone. Odd pushes the 'why isn't Kiwi here?' problem out of his head. Later, when Aelita was still in the Tower, Odd hears some Taranutulas... From the other end of the sector! Jeremie sends Odd the Overboard. Odd can't seem to keep his balance, and falls off. Aelita walks out of the Tower and Jeremie materializes them. In the Scanner Room, Odd starts looking for Kiwi, but as he takes one step out of the Scanner, he falls to all fours. Aelita helps Odd up to his feet. At Kadic, Jim was looking for his watch. Odd gets an idea, and drops to all fours and starts sniffing around and finds Jim's watch. At Odd and Ulrich's dorm, Ulrich askes if everything went all right. Jeremie says it went right. Aelita notes that Odd is acting weird. Ulrich says: "You mean you only just noticed?". Odd crawls around the room, and starts to lick Kiwi's food bowl! Ulrich mentions that Odd will eat anything... But that's rediclulous! Jeremie takes it away from Odd. Odd suddenly gets up, and started to take off his own pants! Aelita shreiks and covers her eyes with her hands. Jeremie and Ulrich beg Odd to stop. Odd says: "I got this thing on my backside. I think... I think... I think I'm growing a tail!". Everyone gasps. Aelita calls Yumi, telling her to hang out with William's clone a little longer. Everyone runs to the factory. They all see that the bikers were there. Odd goes 'mad dog' and attacks a biker, letting the others pass. Odd joins the group in the elevator. Odd gets sent into the Mountain Sector. He sees that three Bloks showed up... But, here's the problem. Odd can't completly control his own body! But he manages to destroy one by mistake. Jeremie notices that XANA activated a Tower in the Ice Sector. Aelita and Ulrich go there and are confronted by William and three Tarantualas. Meanwhile, Odd tries to destroy another Blok, but is hit by one of the Blok's lasers. Jeremie comments that "If you're hit one more time, you're in the 'dog-house' for good!". Yumi makes it to the factory and the bikers (know possesed by XANA) start chasing her all around the factory. Meanwhile, Ulrich has destoied two of the three Tarantualas. He ramms the Overbike into the last one, but is deverchulized by William. Aelita takes off running. Odd back in the Mountain Sector, has learned that Jeremie has finnished defusing his and Kiwi's DNA. Jeremie says that the last step if for Odd to deverchulize himself. Odd says: "Great! I can't wait to be my old self again!" Jeremie noticed a bug, and warns Odd. Odd calls up his sheild at the last second, saving his life from being 'stuck in the dog-house' forever. Jeremie then remembers Aelita, and Odd (who can't stand not helping) takes off running to a Way Tower. Odd distracks William long enough to let Aelita get to the Tower. Then (as Jeremie defuses Kiwi and Odd's DNA for good) Odd gets deverchulized! Odd runs to the last scannner, and hugs Kiwi when he runs out of it. Meanwhile, Ulrich managed to save Yumi from being destroied by the bikers as Aelita deactivates the Tower. Odd is happy to see Kiwi in one piece. At Kadic, Odd thinks he still has a little bit of Kiwi in him. Ulrich askes: "What? You still have a tail?" Odd says it's the sense of smell. Everyone laughs and the episode ends on that.

Notes

William rides a Tarantula in this episode. Ulrich destroies the Tarantulas exactly just like he did in the episode "Lab Rat". The same room that Sissi, Ulrich, and Yumi gets chased into in "End of Take" is shown again in this episode when the bikers corner Yumi there.

Trivia

Goof: When Jeremie goes to the factory the second time, he presses the up button in the elevator when it's on the ground floor. Yumi: A bit shaken, but not stirred! Yumi's line here reminds me of James Bond's famous line: "Shaken; not stirred". Odd getting fused with Kiwi when he tried to take his "little diggety-dog" to Lyoko by using the same scanner sounds just like the movie "The Fly", where a scientist tries a teleporter and ended up getting fused with a fly.

Memorable Moments

Odd gets fused with his "little diggety-dog" Kiwi and gets Kiwi's traits such as: Heightened sense of smell and hearing, dog food liking, and Odd himself even claims he's growing a tail!

Ulrich:(talking about Odd)Don't look back! There's a 'stray dog' following us! Odd:If you don't wanna get bitten in the leg; bettter shut up!

Odd:Oh, no! This is getting worse and worse! I don't believe this!(Odd starts to take off his own pants) Aelita shreiks and covers her eyes with her hands. Ulrich:Odd, stop! Jeremie:(sheilding his eyes with laptop)Cut that out! Odd:(with tears in his eyes)I got this thing on my backside. I think... I think... I think I'm growing a tail!

Aelita:(sees Odd crawl around the room)Odd is acting really weird! Ulrich:(joking)You mean you only just noticed? Odd starts licking Kiwi's food bowl. Ulrich:Gross! Odd, I know you'll eat anything when you're hungry; but that's rediculous! Odd continues licking it. Jeremie:Odd, get real! What's wrong with you?

Jeremie:(running out the door way) We've wasted enough time; let's go! Odd: (at Aelita's feet) What? But, can't we eat before we go? Ulrich:You wanna eat dog food all your life? Odd: (barks Kiwi's shrill bark)

Yumi: A but shaken but not stirred!

Odd: You know, I think there's still a little Kiwi in me. Ulrich: What? You still got a tail?
