Plot Overview

The date is June 9, 1997. A young man who won big in Atlantic City was hitchhiking his way home when he was picked up, forced in the woods at gunpoint, brutally shot to death and robbed of his $3,000 winnings. Six years later, the unit receives a visit from a Delaware cop investigating a similar homicide. The Delaware case, along with a 2000 murder in New Jersey and this case, leads the visiting detective to believe that a serial killer is at work, and a truck driver becomes the main suspect. While Lilly and the team are able to link the trucker to the other two murders, they can't connect him with the 1997 murder. Lilly begins to believe that an armed robbery that the young man and his cousin committed in 1994 has some bearing on the case, and they even begin to suspect the robbery victim of the murder, but the big-dreaming cousin keeps looming as they investigate.
