Basic Information
Ai Suotome is a Japanese girl who goes to the Futaba Kindergarten. She is part of an extremely wealthy family, and has her own servant. Their family also has a chef and a maid. She is at that kindergarten school because it was determined when she threw a dart at a map of Japan.
Ai is a relatively new character, and didn't began appearing on October 12, 1999, seven years into the show's existence. All the boys like her, except for Shin, who is the only boy she likes. Ai is attracted by Shin's rebellious personality.

In FUNimation's adaptation, Ai fully retains her name. Her wealthy status has been magnified to absurd standards for comedy. Examples...

- The Samoan chef Tatupu gets up at 4 in the morning to make strawberry cakes before making "people food."
- Tatupu has also made pot brownies in the middle of the night that Mr. K ate.
