Behind the Scenes
Allusions and References
- The tourist destinations glimpsed by Pam and Sam are the houses of serial killers Lizzie Borden, Jeffery Dahmer, and John Wayne Gacy. Lizzie Borden's house was actually turned into a tourist destination in real life, albeit not with the name it was given in the episode.
- Dollywood, the theme park founded by Dolly Parton, is alluded to by the family in the opening scene.
- Morgue's room houses a dumbwaiter with the name "Zelda" written on it. This is a reference to Zelda Rubinstein, who played the spiritual medium from the 1982 Poltergiest.
