Trivia
The Show
- In the closing credits, the episode is given as "20 Minutes with Cassandra".
- The ashtray from "Father's Day" can briefly be seen on a table in Lorna's living room.
- Lorna's monster voluntarily resides in a locked crate she uses as a coffee table, similar to Fluffy from "The Crate".
Behind the Scenes
Allusions and References
- Samantha Sloyan and Ruth Codd, who play Lorna and Cassandra, also play Tammy and Juno on The Fall of the House of Usher, directed by Mike Flannigan, brother of the episode's director, Jamie Flannigan.
- Lorna's house sits on 27 Nelboit Street. This is the same street where the Well House from IT, where Pennywise hibernates every 27 years, resides.
- The cafe where Lorna got her coffee from before she got home is called "Stillson Coffee", named after Greg Stillson from The Dead Zone.
- The story Cassandra tells Lorna about the mouse who gnawed its paw off to escape her glue trap is also told by Hannah in The Haunting, also directed by Jamie Flannigan.
- At one point, Lorna makes a weapon to use against the monster by duct taping a bunch of knives to a baseball bat. Since she's established to write articles about video games, it's likely a reference to the Spiked Bat from Dead Rising.
