Plot Overview
Sarmiento, the new President of the region, tells Torello that he and his men bring nothing but trouble and orders them to leave his country, but Luca, who's bringing industry into the country, can stay. A surprise guest, journalist Suzanne Terry, pays a visit to her old friends, and once he hears that she's interviewing the President, gets a bright idea. She swings it so that the Task Force is allowed to stay in the country. Once that bit of business is taken care of, they continue to search for Luca's drug house. Mike has a source who tells him that Luca is going to be flooding Chicago with heroin, and that source also tells him that Luca has put out a contract on him. The source is none other than David Abrams, who offered to go undercover in Luca's camp with the blessings of Torello and Pat Hallahan. David has a pleasant reunion with his old flame Suzanne, who's pleased to learn that he didn't sell out after all, and she responds with a resounding 'yes' when the lawyer proposes to her. Their reunion is tragically cut short when Luca opens fire and mortally wounds Abrams, who dies in Suzanne's arms. Luca and Pauli rush to the airport, where a plane is waiting to take them out of the country. Torello races to the airport and jumps on the plane as it's taking off, and he and Luca have a knock-down, drag-out fight while the plane is in flight. A put-upon Pauli picks a bad time to assert himself and angrily shoots the pilot, which causes him to lose control of the aircraft and crash into the ocean.
