Plot Overview
Iris refuses to believe her new business partners are gangsters, so Torello and the team do some digging into St. John's cab business in San Francisco and discover that he only has a fleet of four cabs, certainly not bringing in enough cash to buy into a place like Moulin Rouge. They discover that St. John and his cronies are using the club to launder money, possibly from the sale of China White (a very potent form of heroin). Byron accidentally stumbles onto St. John and his men with the laundered money and is fatally pumped full of heroin, making Torello even more determined to nail him. Iris agrees to help the team by setting up St. John's bookkeeper, who's sweet on her, and they convince him to turn evidence. While all of this is going on, St. John visits Luca with a business proposition, where the Vegas mobster will get 15 percent for helping to launder the money, and Luca agrees. Abrams tries to convince Suzanne that St. John is not the best example of a black entrepreneur, and she confronts him back with his going against his own principles by working for Luca, leading to a bittersweet parting. Torello and the team take down St. John and his men in a gun battle, and Luca meets with a Chinese drug lord to launder drug money directly, now that St. John is out of the picture.
