Happenings

  • The dig site was apparently crashed by possible kids. It leads the discovery of a metal box. Sunny believes the shape of the teeth leads the bones to have possibly been First Nations or Asian, the latter which would fit with the time and location.
  • Mick and Leo shift their focus from the admirer with the teddy bears once Chick discovers two different guns were used in the shootings. The stripper's roommate mentions someone might have broken into their apartment. Investigating, they discover Josie was on the scene. Mick and Leo bring this information to Kurtz. Despite their preference to play up Josie's flirtation with Mick, she wants them to get her gun and question her.
  • Mick and Leo catch Josie outside her home. She asks if they can talk inside. When they agree, she takes the opportunity to make a run for it into her home. Mick sees her getting a gun and after hearing a shot, blindly returns fire. They soon see Josie is dead.

Characters

  • Leo makes an unscheduled visit to the dance studio and finds Carla dancing with another man, which catches him by surprise. Mick thinks he got jealous and Leo admits, to his confusion, about projecting feelings unto her.

The Show

  • This is one of the rare times Tim McCauley's theme music is not played over the closing credits. Instead is a piece composed by George Blondheim entitled "Mick and Josie".
