Discovery Atlas is a series of documentaries airing on the Discovery Channel which seeks to use the capabilities and possibilities of HDTV to its fullest to document countries around the world. Each episode focuses on a different country. Discovery has stated that the series will run for at least 20 episodes, with 4 episodes airing per year. Season two started airing in other parts of the world on November 4, 2007, but didn't air in the USA until May and June 2008.
