The Discovery Times Channel was a US-based cable network, owned by Discovery Communications.
History
The channel launched as one of four new Discovery channels in 1996, under the name Discovery Civilization. The New York Times announced in 2002 that they'll partner with Discovery to run the channel together as Discovery Times Channel – the rebranding was completed 2003. The NY Times sold in 2006 its stake in the channel back to Discovery, followed by a slight rebranding, but keeping the channel's name until January 2008.
The channel was rebranded and relaunched on January 27, 2008 as Investigation Discovery.
