Basic Information
Clara Oswald is a rather enigmatic companion. She had first appeared as "Oswin," a girl who was living within the shell of a Dalek which was created within from her own thoughts. Trouble was, she was actually a full-fledged Dalek and could never escape. As Clara Oswald, she had lives that were splintered through time itself, caused in an episode where she entered the Doctor's time stream to save him from the Great Intelligence. She travelled with Matt Smith's and Peter Capaldi's Doctors (and David Tennant's, if "The Day of the Doctor" is taken into account). Clara would die in "Face The Raven," but then the Doctor would go back and pluck her from just before she dies to help foil a plot on Gallifrey. Clara would eventually set off in her own TARDIS with her own companion (Ashildr, from the "Girl Who Dies"/"The Woman That Lived" story arc), knowing that once her adventures have ended that she will have to return to die as it is a fixed moment in time.
