  • While credited only as Romana, Mary Tamm also plays her doppelganger Princess Strella.

Behind the Scenes

  • Count Grendel was sparred death by writer David Fisher so that the character could potentially return. However, the character has yet to reappear in the series.

Allusions and References

  • The plot of this serial is obviously inspired by the 1894 novel The Prisoner of Zenda. In fact, working titles made it more obvious before being changed to potentially avoid copyright issues.
