- With the death of William Hartnell in 1975, Richard Hurndall and David Bradley would assume the role of the First Doctor later in the series with Hurndall in "The Five Doctors" (1983) and Bradley in "Twice Upon A Time" (2017). Bradley played Hartnell in the 2013 docudrama "Adventures in Time and Space."
