Excellence in Broadcasting is the third episode of the ninth season of Family Guy, and the one hundred fifty-third episode overall.
The episode centers around a meeting between Brian and conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh during a book-signing in Quahog, and Brian reassessing his political convictions as a result.
"Excellence in Broadcasting" introduces the character of Joyce Kinney as news anchorwoman for Quahog 5 News. She succeeds Diane Simmons, whose character was killed off in the previous episode, "And Then There Were Fewer".
