Happenings
- Morgan takes refuge from the storm in the back of a semi-rig full of boxes that reads "Take what you need. Leave what you don't." He later wakes up in at a truck stop in Mississippi full of the same supplies when he is found by two of the drivers of the truck, Wendell and Sarah. He later finds they lied about delivering the boxes and actually stole the truck, leaving the deliverer by the side of the road.
- Morgan picks up a man named Jim who brews beer and was kidnapped by the two truckers and inadvertently brings him right back to them. They take them both with the intent on getting Morgan to tell them where his community is. He refuses, but later agrees if they pick up his friends in Texas and deliver the boxes along the way.
- Morgan radios out to the original truck driver, telling him they're going to Texas and give him back his truck. Instead, a strange woman covered in dirt hears it. She then proceeds to write on a zombified man she calls Purvis the same motto he had written on the boxes, gleefully telling him they're going to Texas.
Characters
- After winding up in Mississippi, Morgan begins to trek back to Texas when he reconsiders and decides to return to Virginia. Getting separated from Sarah, Wendell, and Jim, he is left for dead and confesses via walkie-talkie that he was a coward for turning around because he tried to help his friends, but feared he couldn't give them what they needed and that if he went back, he would only make things worse. Having survived his predicament, Morgan comes across Wendell and Jim on his way back to Texas and is adamant he's going to get his friends, with or without them.

Quotes
- Wendell: All my life, people like you been usin' stalls made for people like me. I never ask the question, but I'ma ask it now. Why?
- Morgan: I'm... I'm gonna be honest. It always seemed like a little apartment.
- Wendell: It is. Especially when it has a sink. I guess everybody likes it when it feels a little homey.
