Fireball XL5 is an children's animated sci-fi program that aired on ITV. This show, along with Stingray and Thunderbirds, was one in a series of highly imaginative productions using Gerry Anderson's famous Supermarionation process. Fireball XL5 was originally broadcast in the UK before coming to American television in the Fall of 1963. It was the last Supermarionation show to be filmed in black and white, and holds the distinction of being the only Anderson show that ran a full season on US network television.
