Overview

Child Haunting

The team investigate a report of a child experiencing paranormal activity at the house of the Tanguay family. The team investigate the basement where supposedly spending too much time down there will cause a person to get sick. This causes the team to be concerned about possible carbon monoxide poisoning. They find no carbon monoxide, but do find high EMF readings in the basement that they think could be the cause of the nausea. As for the kid, Zachary, they notice that he plays video games immediately before going to sleep, and comment that these images stay in the kid's mind while he sleeps. Upon reviewing the footage from the night, they notice that Zachary is a restly sleeper.

The team do not find anything from their footage that suggests the events are caused by paranormal activity. The only evidence in favor of paranormal is a light movement in the basement at one point, but Jason thinks it is a reflection off of one of the EMF readers.

Sutcliff House

Next the team heads to the Sutcliff House, an old logcabin style home. The claims are abundant of this house, impressive to the haunted house buff, there is a little of everything. The team brings along Jon Zappas, an expert on this particular house. While investing Jon Zappas sits in a chair that supposed vibrates and he indeed feels the vibration as well. Later when Dustin and Steve are in this room investigating, Dustin feels someone grab his arm while he's recording on a camera. Both sense that there is something strange about this room.

Upstairs Donna and Jason are in a bedroom where supposed the bed vibrates. Although they never experience the bed vibrations they had heard about, they do experience something else. While talking about reasons behind the bed vibrating they hear what sounds like the door opening. When the team later investigates this on video they see that the handle does jiggle and the latch sounds like it comes open but the door does not open. Both Donna and Jason claim that what they hear is the door actually opening.

On the other side of this door is a small hallway leading to another door that takes you down the stairs. The team investigate the video footage and find two examples of the door actually opening by itself and then closing. Because this door does lead to another door (where no cameras were set up) Jason is skeptical and thinks that just maybe there is foul play involved. Grant also suggest that a draft could be formed due to the small hallway in between the doors. The two of them go back to this particular room and experiment with the door. They find that it latches tightly and that the door is heavy. To them this eliminates the draft explanation. As far as foul play they find that because there is a matress in this hallway it is difficult to try and open the door from outside without being seen.

Although they can not conclude that the house is haunted, because there are several unexplanable events happening in the house, and the fact that all members of the team had personal experiences, Grant and Jason conclude that there is some paranormal activity going on.

Notes

  • Steve is promoted to being the head of the tech department due to Brian leaving in the previous episode.
  • Jason and Grant discuss Brian, who left in the previous episode because he had been having problems with his girlfriend. They comment on how they have given Brian too many chances and that he is constantly burning down bridges. They both conclude that they want to move on with Steve as head of the tech department and that they do not want Brian to come back.
