Plot Overview

Sookie is surprised when her baby arrives early, Emily is surprised by an article about the Dragonfly, Luke is surprised when he's outbid on the Twickham house and Rory is surprised by her performance review.

Kirk is complaining about a 10 cent increase in the price of toast at Luke's when Lorelai arrives with advanced copies of the magazine with the article about the inn.

Rory is on her game at the newspaper office, handling questions, and passing files between people. Logan drops by for a visit and to remind her about Honor's engagement party on Friday.

Luke and Lorelai go to the party the magazine invited them to. They return to Stars Hollow in the provided limo.

Lorelai and Rory arrive outside Sookie's house, ready to give her a late baby show when Jackson and Sookie come rushing out of the house on the way to the hospital. Lorelai follows. At the hospital she is eating an apple and seems very worried. She finds a doctor in the hallway and begins asking him about pregnancy tests.

Luke gets the bad news that there is a competing bid on the Twickum house, from Kirk. Luke demands a meeting with the Powers That Be, the town elders who will decide who gets the house. The meeting happens in a steam room, and mysterious man at the back with a towel over his head decides in Luke's favor.
