Plot Overview
Wedding day at Stars Hollow -- and the ceremony seems to have an effect on Luke and Jess. Meanwhile, Rory and Dean share another rendezvous.
Lorelai, Sookie and Michel are busy at the inn, things are shaping up. Rory phones Lorelai. Rory is working to finish her finals at Yale and complete the year while all around her everyone is celebrating. Lorelai tells Rory that Jess is in town.
Luke gets roped into helping with Liz's wedding so he's busy organizing and cooking.
Emily organizes a date for Rory, which bombs as he has little in common with Rory. Stranded in a bar with no cab fare home and no car, Rory calls Dean for help and he comes to pick her up. They end up having dinner there at the bar.
Mrs. Kim arranges to visit Lane at her new place. When she sees that Lane is living with two boys, she panics and runs from the house. She finds Lorelai in the street. Lorelai calms her down and tells her that Lane is being honest with her, and she should think of the boys as girls. Mrs. Kim returns to Lane's house for tea.
Luke and Lorelai go to Liz and TJ's wedding together. When Lorelai mocks a self help book she saw in Jess' backpack, Luke argues with her that at least he is attempting to improve himself and then stomps off. Later they meet up and Luke apologizes and asks Lorelai to dance. At the end of the evening, as Lorelai is recounting the highlights, she says the dance might have been the high point of the evening. Luke asks her out to a movie.
Jess says goodbye to Luke then goes to Yale where he asks Rory to go away with him, anywhere. She says no, and he leaves.
