Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days is the first episode of the third season of Gilmore Girls, and the forty-forth episode overall.

Plot Overview

Back from a summer internship in DC, Rory finds Dean waiting for fer -- and Jess giving a blonde some serious mouth-to-mouth. Lorelai tells her parents that Christopher's girlfriend is pregnant.

Lorelai wakes up when her alarm clock goes off. She shuts it off and tries to go back to sleep but another alarm clock goes off. She shuts it off and suddenly there are alarm clocks all over the room going off all at once. Lorelai gets up and goes downstairs and Luke is cooking in the kitchen. Lorelai wakes up and calls Rory immediately. Rory is in Washington meeting with members of Congress and the Senate.

After Rory is done talking to Lorelai, we see that she has received several letters from Dean, but she puts them aside and she is trying to write a letter to Jess.

Sookie redecorates the house over Jackson's objections which causes a big fight because he says she didn't listen to him.

Paris spends her time in Washington terrorizing the public representatives of the country. Another student attending the conference, Jamie, asks Paris out to dinner.

Rory arrives in the airport from Washington and is enthusiastically greeted by Lorelai who has several bags of airport presents.

Lorelai goes to dinner at her parents house, telling them that Rory isn't home yet to spare Rory the evening. At dinner, Lorelai tells her parents that she is not together with Christopher because Sherry is pregnant and Christopher has is going to marry her.

After the terrible evening at her parents, Lorelai goes to Luke's diner and introduces herself to him as Mimi, because she is still fighting with him and isn't allowed into the diner. Luke comforts her and sends her home with a donut.

Rory decides to focus on Dean and forget about Jess.
