Plot Overview
In 1967, Birdman defeats Murro the Marauder in combat, leaving him severely disabled. In the present day, Harvey receives a summons; Murro is suing him for a million dollars. Harvey gets Peter Potamus to defend him, while Murro is represented by Shado the Brain Thief, whose mental powers are similar to those of Mentok the Mindtaker. During the trial, Harvey learns that a large number of his former enemies may bring a class-action suit against him if he loses the case.
When Shado uses his powers to make the jury cry, he and Mentok have a "duel" of mental powers; afterwards they go to a bar and have a few drinks. Later, Mentok telepathically cues Peter to call Shado to the stand and ask him, "Did you get that thing I sent you?" Because Shado hadn't responded to Peter's request for medical discovery, Mentok declares a mistrial; it turns out Mentok was only pretending to be buddies with Shado so that Mentok could look through Shado's mind for anything incriminating.
Elated that he'd won the case, Harvey lets loose an energy blast... right at Peter.
