Plot Overview
A group of American flyers are brought to Stalog 13. One of whom is a Lieutenant Miller. He was flying in the plane which suddenly had engine trouble. A Major Martin, an observer from headquarters, manages to bring the plane down safely. The other flyers call him a hero. The Major is brought into Klink's office for what Hogan is sure to be one of Klink's lectures on how no one ever escapes Stalog 13. They all listen through the coffee. What the heroes and Miller hear is surprising. It turns out that Major Martin is in fact Hans Strasser, a German agent. He has been gathering intelligence of battle plans for the next German defensive. It further turns out that he actually tampered with the planes engine and caused it to crash in a field that he previously chose. His next move now is to take the intelligence that he gathered to Berlin to present them to some high ranking officials. Hogan, having listened to this, quickly comes up with a plan to stop Strausser from leaving the camp. With the help from Miller, they convince Klink that he (Miller) is Strausser and that he has important information for the next German defense plans. The real had already told Klink. He even gave Klink a number to call to verify the information. This charade of Hogan and Miller is to convince Klink that they and the real Strausser are bluffing. After Hogan and Miller leave, Klink calls the number that Strausser gave him. The heroes are waiting for Klink to call. What Klink hears convinces him that Strausser was bluffing about the phoney phone call. He therefore has Strausser put in the cooler. Wanting to know who has been sending secret messages to the Germans, Hogan and Carter pose as Strausser and Carter as his loyal aide. Carter uses a secret camera that takes pictures of these agents while Hogan attempts to learn the identity of the high official who have been giving away secrets from Allied headquarters. Carter succeeds in taking secret photos of the agents, but Hogan does not learn the identity of Strausser's contact. Hogan will later use another tactic to learn the identity of Strausser's contact. He will implore a bold tactic using Klink's office and Carter posing as Hitler.
