Notes

Arc Advancement

Happenings

  • Legion of Doom: Lex Luthor has been upgrading the powers of Legion members, who also seem to have been wired so that their brains "short out" if they are questioned.

Characters

  • Martian Manhunter: J'onn J'onnzz has taken a leave of absence to walk the Earth and learn about humanity.

Trivia

The Show

Behind the Scenes

  • Atlantis: It is briefly mentioned that Atlantis has pulled out of the global community due to the world's position on global warming; this story element is due in no small part to the fact that the series no longer has the rights to Aquaman. The character of Devil Ray is an obvious stand-in for Legion of Doom member and Aquaman nemesis Black Manta.

Allusions and References

  • Wonder Woman's Transformation: Wonder Woman changing into her costume by spinning in circles is an allusion to the way Lynda Carter used to change in the live action Wonder Woman Series.

Memorable Moments

Quotes

  • Devil Ray: It's a poisonous stinger, sweetheart. It'll kill you, eventually, slowly, painfully. But today's your lucky day: I'm gonna put you outta your misery right now.
  • Faraday: (over the radio to Devil Ray's submarine) Attention unidentified craft, this is Special Agent King Faraday. Your vessel is currently surrounded by three United States Navy Seawolf-class submarines. While I strongly suggest you surrender immediately and prepare to be boarded, I really enjoy firing Trident missiles at tiny little subs, so the decision's entirely up to you.
