Late World with Zach was a late night talk show hosted by alternative comedian Zach Galifianakis. It broadcast on VH1 for nine weeks before being cancelled due to low ratings. It ran weeknights at 11PM from Monday to Thursday, with "best of" episodes on Fridays which recapped the past week.
The series followed the format of most late night talk shows, where Galifianakis would start out with a monologue commenting on current events, but interlaced with piano music and non-sequitor jokes. After the monologue, Galifianakis would introduce one or two comedy skits. Typically, a show would have two or three guests, depending on how long the sketches ran, including a musical performance.
However, despite the average format, Galifianakis' comedy depends partly on alienating the audience, and many viewers simply didn't "get" his style of comedy. The series has little hope of being released on DVD but some segments appeared on a limited edition DVD published independently by Galifianakis.
