Isabel was one of the Others. She is played by Diana Scarwid, where she plays a guest role and has appeared in one episode.

Basic Information

Isabel was one of the Others and appeared to hold authority over all but Ben Linus. Tom referred to her as "the sheriff", but added she wasn't literally a sheriff. Isabel was able to read Chinese.

Season Three

After Danny Pickett was shot and killed by Juliet, Juliet was detained by the Others. Isabel brought Juliet, Tom and Jack to her office at the Hydra in order to sort out conflicting testimony of how Juliet wanted Ben dead. Jack lied for Juliet, but Isabel was able to see through it. She later brought Juliet to stand trial for her crimes of killing one of their own; a trial that Alex believed already had a predetermined outcome of death. Juliet's execution was commuted by Ben, which appeared to upset Isabel, but Juliet was still ordered to be marked for her crime.

Trivia

• Death: Executive producer Damon Lindelof stated in the August 2, 2007 Official Lost Podcast that Isabel was one of the Others who was killed in season three, although her death was never seen. In an interview with the Chicago Tribue, Lindelof stated they had miscast the sheriff and that it was one of several ideas they had stumbled through in execution. [1]
