Match Game is a game show that airs on ABC. It is the eighth edition of the show which began in 1962 on NBC, the first appearance of Match Game on ABC since 1991, and the first time it has originated from New York City since the original series in the 60s.
Gameplay is the same as the CBS edition (1973-79): Two contestants predict how a panel of six celebrities fill in the blank in a comical question. The player who scores highest of two rounds is the champ and goes on to the Super-Match where the audience match payoffs are now $2000, $3000 and $5000. Whatever the contestant wins is multiplied by five in the Head-To-Head Match, making the maximum of $25,000 for matching a chosen celebrity panelist.
