Plot Overview

Actor Clint Eastwood had recently moved next door to The Posts.He has not been enjoying his new surroundings...thanks to Ed.Ed has been giving Clint a bad time,calling Clints House,and hanging up.Clints telephone has a party line that he shares with the Posts.Whenever Clints phone rings Ed listens on the other line.He causes Clint to lose a chance to star in a big Movie by insulting the Producer(who thinks Clint had insulted him),and hangs up.Also,Clints girlfriend calls him,and Ed lies to the woman that Clint is already engaged to another woman.She is so angry that she hangs up the telephone.Clint has had it with this mysterious prankster,and plans to find out who it is.He manages to track down the prankster whom he assumes is Wilbur.He goes to Wilburs House,knocks on the Door,Wilbur answers,and Clint threatens Wilbur with a fat lip for his pranks.Wilbur protest his innocence about the calls that Clint has been receiving.Listening to Wilburs voice Clint remembers that the prankster had a deep voice.He apologizes to Wilbur.Clint explains what the prankster had said to the two people that he was talking to.Clint would soon meet Carol,and the Addisons.Clint isnt the only one having some trouble.Carol is giving Wilbur the silent treatment because Wilbur had not accompanied her to a Town Meeting.Wilbur had of course been with Mister Ed on that night.Wilbur tries to get Carol to talk tohim again,but nothing goes.Clint has an idea of how to get Carol to speak to Wilbur.They will do a love scene together from a script in a western setting.The scene would require Wilbur,and Carol to kiss.They kiss,truy passionately.The Posts have made up.
